I went to bed last night (fell asleep watching tv in all honesty) with the sweet plan of getting up and going skiing today. However, when I woke up and called the Snow Phone there was no new snow. So I decided to spend the day on the couch. That turned out to be a poor choice. Because daytime tv sucks balls.
I understand that the networks can't put their prime shows on when the Target audience is most likely not in front of the TV. But the 700 club doesn't qualify as programing, let alone good. Lets not even talk about daytime talk shows... soul crushing.
The small ray of hope in the A.M. line up was The Price Is Right, and it turns out that even that sucks now. Bob Barker retiring was the death of that show. Mark my words (even though I am most likely not the first one to say that). Drew Carey is not funny. He is not even mildly entertaining. He needs to be spayed AND neutered. I'm sure that I have gotten my feelings across on this subject.
The afternoon line up was a wasteland, even the stuff on the Discovery Channel, History Channel, etc, sucked. I guess that this writers strike is having a bigger impact on things than I thought. Even though I am happy to have the Daily Show and the Colbert Report back, they need their writers back. There have now been two days of new episodes with out the writers, and though they are doing a good job of making fun of themselves for making shows with no scripts; the shows have been mediocre at best.
I guess that I have sort of rambled at this point. But I'm bored. Should have gone skiing.
